Week 6 Packers vs. Lions

The Packers faced the one-win Detroit Lions on Sunday. The game wasn't projected to be very close as both of Detroit's best players, QB Matthew Stafford and WR Calvin Johnson, were out with injuries. Those projections turned out to be very accurate. The Packers dominated this game on both sides of the ball. The final score was 26 - 0 but it could have been much worse. The Packers settled for field goals three separate times inside the Detroit 15 yard line. Aaron Rodgers also fumbled once inside the red zone, taking away a possible scoring opportunity. The only other negative thing that came from this game was the non-existent pass protection from the Green Bay offensive line. They gave up 5 sacks in the contest, giving them a league leading 25th sack of the season. Another intersting note from this game, wide reciever Donald Driver passed Sterling Sharp on the Packer's all time receptions list. Next week the Packers travel to Cleveland where they will face the struggling Browns. Game time is set for 12:00 pm central time.

  1. Jeremy -
Be glad that you follow the Packers and not the Chiefs. Teams on our schedule end up feeling like the got an extra week off.
Also - cool picture. I need to start working out.
